TopCashback vs Quidco: which should you join in 2026?

TopCashback and Quidco are the UK's two big cashback sites, they've both been around for well over a decade, and they both do the same thing: when you click through them to a retailer and buy something, the retailer pays them a commission, and they pass most of it back to you. Free to join, genuinely pays out, no catch beyond a bit of patience.

So which one? Here's the honest comparison.

Where they actually differ

The one thing nobody tells you

Cashback is not guaranteed. It works by tracking your click through to the retailer, and tracking sometimes fails — ad blockers, switching devices mid-purchase, or opening a discount-code site in another tab are the usual culprits. Both sites have a claims process for missing cashback, and it usually works, but treat cashback as a bonus, never as a discount you're depending on.

Where cashback is genuinely big money: not your £20 ASOS order — insurance renewals, broadband switches and mobile contracts. These regularly pay £40–£100+ in one go, because the retailer is buying a customer worth years of payments. If you only ever use a cashback site for your annual renewals, it's still worth having.

Our verdict

Join both, via referrals so you get both bonuses — that's £30 for about twenty minutes of signing up, before you've bought anything. Then, before any purchase over £50, spend half a minute checking which site pays more that day. TopCashback tends to win slightly more often, so if you genuinely only want one app on your phone, make it that one.
